IR (Infrared) technology is used in many of the modern-day LED TV Remote Controllers. Just not limited to LED Tv’s but also in Audio Systems, Air Conditioners, Dish / Cable / Satellite Setup, Android Boxes, and Ceiling fans as well. IR Remote sends the signal known as Infrared Light signal to communicate between devices which is invisible to the naked human eye.
If an Infrared remote turns out to be faulty and not working, it becomes a great hazel to identify the origin of the problem and find a fix for it.
But, Here is the trick to identify the faulty IR System. Well, not everyone has a Digital or Video Camera but, everyone has a Phone Camera hence it’s very easy to detect Infrared light just with a phone now.
Open your “Phone camera application”
2. Point the remote control with the IR Emitter towards the phone camera
3. Now press any button on the remote and observe your mobile screen. If the remote IR Emitter is sending a signal, you will see flashes emitting from the IR Diode. Just like the below image.
4. If you don’t find any light on your mobile screen while pressing the remote button, there is a possibility that your remote batteries are drained or the remote is Damaged.
5. Try changing the remote batteries and follow the same steps, even then you couldn’t see a light then the remote is damaged.Other Possibility:
